Mr. Keating is a compliance and ethics professional with over thirty- five years senior level management experience. Mr. Keating has held positions as Group Vice President, Global Head of Office of Special Investigations, Interim Global Chief Compliance Officer and Director of the Office of Ethics and Security for Asea Brown Boveri. He lived and worked in Zurich, Switzerland for 6 years coordinating and managing global compliance and ethics programs and policies for 125,000 employees located in over 100 countries.
Mr. Keating participated in internal FCPA, corporate governance and compliance investigations and government regulatory matters involving the U.S. Department of Justice and Securities & Exchange Commission. All of which were brought to successful closure.
Mr. Keating was instrumental in building and implementing a comprehensive corporate compliance and integrity program during his tenure with ABB, which was recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice as “best in class”. The acceptance of ABB’s work product by the United States DOJ and SEC, resulted in ABB being allowed to conduct its own internal corporate governance investigations versus government controlled internal compliance inquiries.
He was instrumental in developing a Code of Conduct, Corporate Directives, Training and e-learning curriculum, Whistleblower program and an internal investigation process globally. As head of ABB’s Office of Special Investigations he recruited, trained and managed a global staff of compliance and investigation professionals responsible for conducting complex multi-jurisdictional FCPA, compliance and related investigations globally.
Mr. Keating responsibilities at ABB also included global management of ABB corporate governance and compliance investigations, the development of and implementation of a global “hotline” and follow-up investigative response, and briefing ABB’s Executive Committee on violations of corporate compliance policies.
Mr. Kerry has been a guest speaker at the Institute of Internal Audit as well as the American Society of Industrial Security Global conferences.
Mr. Keating has been a Member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, Ethics Officer Association, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (“SCEE”) and American Society for Industrial Security (“ASIS”).
